Within the existing agreement among the NATO Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defence Centre of Excellence and the Observatory on Security and CBRNe Defence – Osdife, a number of position it has been reserved for national experts at the upcoming NATO JCBRN CoE Courses 2016.
In this regard, applications are open for admission to the following Courses:
- CBRN Warning and Reporting Specialists Course (3-7 Oct): To train students to be qualified in warning, reporting and hazard prediction of the CBRN incidents and strengthen the foundation for integrity, good governance and management within members of the CBRN Warning and Reporting Centre by sharing experiences, challenges, and CBRN Warning and Reporting exercises in order to enhance professionalism.
- International Radiological Consequence Management Training Course (24-27 Oct): To provide assessment specialists and emergency response personnel the tools and techniques to develop and execute plans for responding to complex issues related to the release of radiological materials.
- Consequence Management after a CBRN Incident Course (Nov 28-Dec 2): To introduce and describe EU, NATO Crisis Management concept, organization, systems and procedures including Cooperation and Partnership initiatives in Crisis Management to EU, NATO and Partner Nation officers and their civilian equivalents.
The mentioned Courses, that will take place at the NATO JCBRN Centre of Excellence in Vyskov (Czech Republic), aim to offer to participants a technical and operational preparedness specifically related to CBRN risk main features.
Registration is free of charge, and it is addressed to technicians, specialists and professionals belonging to non-commercial institutions and organizations with a minimum basic knowledge on CBRN issues, who wish to acquire specialized and updated professional expertise.
Courses are open to participants from NATO Nations. For other participants a further evaluation would be required. Thus, we kindly recommend to send an application in due time before the course.
The Observatory on Security and CBRNe Defense and the NATO JCBRN Defence CoE will select candidates, based on individual professional requirements, capabilities, expertise and previous experience in the matter.
