On January 30 2017, the Joint Military Intelligence Training Centre, military Institute in technical-military intelligence sector belonging to the Information and Security Department of the Italian Defence General Staff, represented by the Commander Colonel Pietro Nofroni, and the Observatory on Security and CBRNe Defence – OSDIFE, represented by the President Prof. Roberto Mugavero, signed in the presence of Brigadier Geneneral Fernando Paglialunga, Commander of the Joint Military Intelligence Center, a framework agreement that establishes and formalizes cooperation between the two authorities. The agreement aims to start a project of mutual cooperation in order to promote training, study and research through the organization of courses, workshops, conferences, symposia and seminars on the security and intelligence field, with particular attention to asymmetric threats.
The two authorities, which share mutual respect, have already had the opportunity to work together, especially in the organization of the various editions of the successful Advanced Training Course “CBRNe Intelligence”, first and unique in Italy; the Course “CBRNe Information Knowledge Management” and in the last two editions of “CBRNe Summit”, an event of international relevance which involves the most important experts in the CBRNe field.
This agreement will continue this effective and strong collaboration in line with the Observatory’s mission and purpose, which has made OSDIFE as a real point of reference for dissemination and training activities in the security and defence sector, with a consequent increase of awareness of asymmetric threats in the academic, scientific and institutional fields.
The Observatory on Security and CBRNe Defense-OSDIFE, honored by this agreement, would like to thank Gen. Paglialunga, Col. Nofroni and the Joint Military Intelligence Training Centre staff for the collaboration and the regard reserved for the institute.
