On 23th May 2018, the Observatory on Security and CBRNe Defence – OSDIFE and Gexcon, Norwegian world-leading organization in safety, security and risk management, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at creating a successful collaboration between the two organizations.
The signing of the MoU took place at the Embassy of Norway in Italy, with the participation of the Ambassador H.E. Margit F. Tveiten, who honored the Institute and the authorities with her presence.
The event, attended by key stakeholders of Government, University and Research, also hosted the Workshop “New Strategies to Protect People and Infrastructures Against Current and Emerging Threats”. The various speeches delivered have underlined the need to jointly contribute to the study and research on new dynamics and effects related to asymmetric risk and unconventional threat and to strengthen, in a common effort, the sector’s skills and capabilities.
The Memorandum of Understanding, therefore, has as its objective the bilateral cooperation between Italy and Norway, aimed at reaching a mutual exchange of knowledge and a successful joint development of solutions, on a regional and a global level, in the context of fighting new risk scenarios for security.
Honored for the recognition received, the Observatory on Security and CBRNe Defence – OSDIFE takes this opportunity to thank the Norwegian Embassy and the Ambassador H.E. Margit F. Tveiten for the attention paid to the event and for the promotion of new talks on these issues.
