M.Sc. (Res). Katalin Pethő-Kiss

Katalin Petho-Kiss is former deputy head of the Central European CBRNE-Training Centre in Budapest. Previously, she worked at the law desk of the Hungarian Europol National Unit, being responsible for terrorism and violent extremism-related tasks, with a special focus on explosives and CBRN. She has completed her Master of Research Studies in Policing, Intelligence and Countering Terrorism at Macquarie University, in Sydney, as an Endeavour Scholarship Recipient. Her research project was focusing on elaborating the risk of CBRN terrorism and countering policies by comparing the regulative mechanisms in the Australian and in EU-level legislation. Currently she works as a senior analyst at the Hungarian Counter Terrorism Information and Criminal Analysis Centre.

 

Katalin Petho-Kiss  è stata vicedirettore del Centro di formazione CBRNE dell’Europa centrale a Budapest. In precedenza, ha lavorato presso lo studio legale dell’unità nazionale ungherese Europol, occupandosi di terrorismo ed eventi violenti legati all’estremismo, con particolare attenzione al CBRNe. Ha completato il suo Master of Research Studies in Policing, Intelligence and Countering Terrorism presso la Macquarie University, a Sydney, vincendo una borsa di studio Endeavour. Il suo progetto di ricerca è stato focalizzato sull’elaborazione del rischio di terrorismo CBRN e sulla lotta alle politiche confrontando i meccanismi regolatori in Australia e nella legislazione a livello di UE. Attualmente lavora come analista senior in Ungheria presso il “Counter Terrorism Information and Criminal Analysis Center”.
